Volunteering

At the Chromezone, I worked as part of a student-run program dedicated to repairing and maintaining school devices, primarily Chromebooks. My role involved diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring students had reliable access to functioning technology.

I volunteer there multiple times each week and do my part to keep the tools my fellow students need working. By keeping essential devices in service, I helped support both individual learning and the broader school community.

At the Youth Technology Corps, I contributed to an international initiative dedicated to bridging the digital divide by refurbishing donated computers and distributing them to underserved communities. My role extended beyond repairing machines—I collaborated with peers to troubleshoot hardware and software issues, redesign refurbishing workflows for greater efficiency, and ensure each computer was ready for use. In addition, I worked with children in Durango, Mexico via Zoom, introducing them to robotics and opening opportunities for technological exploration. Through these efforts, I helped expand access to technology for families, schools, and nonprofit organizations that otherwise lacked the resources.(2022-2024)
